|Summary||0019360: Allow comparative import to determine what number of subscribers are new vs existing|
|Description||To determine what number and percentage of subscribers being imported are new to the 1) list they are being imported to and 2) the phpList installation as a whole, allow admins to compare rather than actually import a file containing subscribers. |
Example use case #1:
List #1 contains customers of service x and list #2 contains customers of service y. To determine how many clients have recently been succesfully upsold to use both services, it would be useful to see how many subscribers in an import file are already members of the other list, and therefore existing customers of another service.
Example use case #2:
A social media giveaway promotion is designed to bring in new customers. To determine whether the participants in the promotion are existing customers who already follow the brand on social media, or whether they are genuinely new customers who have just discovered the brand, this feature would allow easy comparison to existing list membership and quickly reveal whether the desired outcome of the promotion had been achieved.
