Summary0017350: Non-ascii file name in lists/texts firectory
DescriptionHello,

There is non-ascii file (I mean filename) in public_html/lists/texts directory. I don't know what's inside. I'd like to make an update of FreeBSD ports collection, but it's problematic now :-))

Thanks a lot for your help. Maybe it's needed to make a new package again just without this file

that file is an (failing) attempt to have the russian texts in russian.

You can remove it, and I will remove it from the source as well. I think it will be better to resolve that differently, eg with a translation mapping. Having it as the filename is too dependent on the underlying file system.

OK, I've found that's the russian UTF-8 encoded translation. But why this filename is also UTF-8 encoded? I think not all servers can support such encoding for filenames? Maybe it should be changed to ascii filename?

you can remove it. There is already a file called "russian.inc"

OK, I can remove it from source, but I have some problems with FreeBSD ports mechanism.

I think I've made a workaround for this issue with FreeBSD ports, so it is not so urgent now :-)))
