|Summary||0016559: Importing and exporting users|
|Description||I want to clean a list.|
First I export all my users in a csv file
Second, I delete all my users in order to fold them in a file csv
Third I want to reimport my users using the csv file : same structure (second choice in the menu). Always get an error message : in fact it is impossible to use that possibility.
For importing, using the first choice of the menu, users are imported but there is an error message which comes out as follows :
Record has more values than header indicated (4!=1), this may cause trouble:
Remark : may be when deleting users of a list, all the counters are not reset to zero.
I have also noticed that when deleting messages etc... the counters are not reset to zero.
c) When you import people who are on multiple lists there are always problems.
Normally they should be attached on all the lists from which they come from.
Export and import should be set in a simple system.
When you only import mail adresses, it runs perfectly. As soon as you want to add an information, problems come out.

Hmm, cleaning the users with export and import should not be necessary. But I agree that phpList should import it's own exports easily.
