Summary | 0014599: Give more info when spam is blocked
Description | I like the spam_block feature, but the email I receive does not give me any information so I can prevent that particular spam attack from happening again. It would be nice to include in the notify_spam email, information like the ip address and the name of the bot and anything else that you can tell me about the attack, so that steps can be taken to reduce or eliminate that particular attack. I keep getting spammed by the same email address at least once a day. Spam_block succesfully blocks it, BUT it won't go away.

There is another alternative called Bad Behaviour, which is a Spam Blocking Protection script. I have opened up a new Feature Request here: http://mantis.phplist.com/view.php?id=14717 to have it added to phpList. If insterested, please leave your comments there as well: |

I've added all of the _SERVER vars to the notification email. That'll probably only work with Apache, but as we're in the open source world, that's all we care about. |
